Comaneci is also involved with a wide range of charities, serving as one of both the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association Board of Directors and Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. In addition, she continues to help a variety of charitable organizations in her native country of Romania such as the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital in Bucharest.
