Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British composer and vocalist. Harry Styles was one among the founders of One Direction. He is the child of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on February 1, 1994, in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school. There, with three other students, he formed his musical group, White Eskimo. They took home the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing results. Even though he's always expressed an interest in music, despite his passion for it he wanted also to pursue a career as a lawyer and physical therapist. He worked in a local bakery part-time to help his family financially. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition where he sang the Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. This is why his group was forced to break up. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles that he join of a new band, One Direction. The other members were Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of the group that was formed in the year the year 2010. They performed tracks like My Life Would Suffer Without You from Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the contenders for the award. The group was however placed third position behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell still paid two million dollars to One Direction for them to make a deal with Syco.
